During pregnancy, cell-free fetal DNA is released by the placenta and can be found in mom’s bloodstream. Using a small sample of mom’s blood, SneakPeek tests for the presence of male DNA (Y chromosomes). Y chromosomes would only be present if mom is pregnant with a boy. If no Y chromosomes are found, mom is carrying a girl. This method is known as noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and is safe for both mom and baby. A recent study concluded that, when compared at time of birth, SneakPeek was over 99% accurate in determining fetal sex for babies who were 6 weeks into gestational age. In this study, LMP was one of the measures used to establish 6 weeks, so if you were at least 6 weeks into pregnancy using LMP, you can rely on your results.

Yes! When you receive your test kit, you'll activate the kit online, using a unique barcode found on the kit. On this kit activation page, you'll be able provide both your email address as well as a "Results" email address, and we'll send the gender results to the "Results" address.
Your test results will be sent to the email address you provided during kit activation, and it will come from [email protected]. Try typing "sneakpeekresults" into your email search tool bar to find your Results email.
If you used SneakPeek FastTrack and your test results haven't arrived within 8 hours after receiving your Check-in email, or if you used SneakPeek Standard and your test results haven't arrived within 24 hours after receiving your Check-in email, contact us with your order number, and we'll research further.

The percentage was meant to indicate that there was sufficient DNA in the sample for processing. It was confusing for our customers, so we changed it to a check mark. It means the same thing, that the DNA threshold needed to run the test and generate a result was met.
