COVID-19

At SneakPeek, meeting promised turnaround times for gender results for our customers is a top priority, and we are continuing with business as usual to process samples in a timely manner. We have always been committed to the health and safety of our lab personnel, and continue to uphold our protective practices to the highest level. SneakPeek Labs is fully disinfected twice a day; some stations multiple times throughout the day. Our lab personnel wear personal protective equipment at all times, including face masks, latex gloves, lab coats, and goggles, and blood samples are discarded in regulated biohazard waste bins that are removed by a professional hazardous waste removal company.

We understand this is a difficult situation and time, and thank you for placing your trust in us. We are continuing to ensure we meet our promise to our customers as well as protecting the health and safety of our personnel. 

SneakPeek remains fully operational and on time, but slower USPS mail service may delay some shipments to you, or your sample back to our labs.
  • SneakPeek Standard is shipped by Priority Mail and may be delayed by 1-2 days each way.
  • SneakPeek FastTrack is shipped by Priority Mail Express and is not affected.

Results and Guarantee

You’ll get an email from [email protected] with the subject line “Your SneakPeek Result Is In!”

Be sure to check all your folders including Promotions and Junk Mail in case your email filter redirects it, or use your email search tool bar to search for sneakpeekresults.

Gender results are sent straight to the "results email address" provided during kit activation. If you used SneakPeek Standard, it will be sent between 10am-2pm Pacific the day after receiving your "Sample Arrived" email. If you used SneakPeek FastTrack, it will be sent between 4-8pm Pacific the same day your "Sample Arrived" email is received.

Your test results will be sent to the email address you provided during kit activation, and it will come from [email protected] Try typing "sneakpeekresults" into your email search tool bar to find your Results email.

If you used SneakPeek FastTrack and your test results haven't arrived within 8 hours after receiving your Check-in email, or if you used SneakPeek Standard and your test results haven't arrived within 24 hours after receiving your Check-in email, contact us with your order number, and we'll research further.

Sample Return to SneakPeek

You'll receive a "Sample Arrived" email by 4pm Pacific on the same day it arrives at SneakPeek Labs. Sample shipments are delivered to SneakPeek Labs in the morning, Monday-Saturday.

Depending on whether you used SneakPeek Standard or SneakPeek FastTrack, the subject line will say “Your SneakPeek Sample Has Arrived” or “Your SneakPeek FastTrack Sample Has Arrived.”

Yes! Both SneakPeek Standard and SneakPeek FastTrack include tracking with the free, prepaid return shipping. Be sure to take a picture of your tracking label before mailing, so you can track your package through the USPS site.

New! Another way to track your sample return is when activating your kit. Simply provide your order number in the kit activation form, and a link to track your sample will be emailed to you.

Test Process

With SneakPeek At-Home, you receive a test kit that provides everything you need to take the test, from the comfort of your home. Three lancets are included that you use to prick your finger to collect 7-10 drops of blood in a small test tube. The sample is then mailed back to SneakPeek Labs for analysis. This video shows the SneakPeek At-Home process from beginning to end.

SneakPeek Clinical lets you visit a participating location to have your blood drawn in a clinical setting. The clinic then sends your sample to SneakPeek Labs for analysis.

SneakPeek tests for male chromosomes in the fetal DNA found in mom’s blood, so it's very important to keep your sample clean of outside male DNA. In-depth instructions are provided in our test kit, but in summary: 1) Clean and sanitize a flat surface on which to place the test kit, 2) Thoroughly wash both hands and under all fingernails, and let them air dry, 3) Ensure no males (even male animals!) touch the test kit components. These steps help ensure any male DNA found by SneakPeek is from fetal DNA.

Product Info

The SneakPeek test is accurate any time from 8 weeks into pregnancy to birth. SneakPeek looks for Y chromosomes in the fetal DNA found in mom's blood. The amount of fetal DNA increases the further mom is in her pregnancy, so the test can be taken with accurate results starting at 8 weeks until birth. Not sure if you'e at 8 weeks yet? During pregnancy, cell-free fetal DNA is released by the placenta and can be found in mom’s bloodstream. Using a small sample of mom’s blood, SneakPeek tests for the presence of male DNA (Y chromosomes). Y chromosomes would only be present if mom is pregnant with a boy. If no Y chromosomes are found, mom is carrying a girl. This method is known as noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and is safe for both mom and baby. See the recently published study that indicates this test is 99.9% accurate as early as 8 weeks into pregnancy.
