Yes! Simply visit the family member’s page in your account in the Parent Portal, click the Traits reports that you’d like to order, and make the purchase. The report results will be added for the family member and available immediately for viewing.
Tests that are purchased for different family members within the Parent Portal, after the main account holder has logged in, will automatically be linked in the same main account. For additional tests purchased from the SneakPeek website, entering your account password during the checkout process will connect the new tests to your main family account.
The test is designed to be easy to use for babies and toddlers ages 0-3 years old, to learn about their future adult physical features such as height or hair texture, and provide nutrition and sleep advice geared for their age and DNA. Older children and adults can also take the test to learn more about themselves and compare family members.
No, SneakPeek Traits Early DNA test is not a paternity test. Even if both parents and child take the test, it does not calculate the percent relatedness between the parents and child, so it cannot be used to confirm or deny paternity.
SneakPeek Traits does not calculate percent relatedness between genetic sets, and thus is not considered an ancestry or heritage product that enables the finding of relatives. The reports let you learn more about your child’s current or future features as predicted by genetics. The results of other family members within the same main account can also be compared, but results of members in separate accounts are inaccessible for privacy reasons and cannot be compared.
The test is safe for use during pregnancy. However, keep in mind that the test provides results for the DNA of the person whose mouth is rubbed with the swab (in this case, the mother). Thus, the test will not provide any DNA results for unborn babies, even if used during pregnancy. If you would like to know more about your baby, please wait until after birth to use the test for your baby.
No. The swabs should always be used on the same person. We provide two swabs to increase the chance that there is sufficient DNA for the test. If you use the swabs on two different people, your result will not be correct.
Although this is not recommended, please send the swab back as instructed. Typically, there is still sufficient high-quality DNA in this situation.
Please use just the second swab and discard the one that was contaminated. Do not wash the swab or put a contaminated swab in your child’s mouth. Often one swab has sufficient DNA to run the test.
Although this is not recommended, we are typically still able to get high-quality DNA in this situation. Please return the swabs as instructed.
If you have difficulty collecting the first swab, take a break and try again later with the second swab. Swabs do not have to be collected on the same day. Regardless of collection process, we recommend sending back both swabs to ensure there is enough DNA for the test. However, if you are truly only able to collect 1 swab, please send it back. Often one swab has sufficient DNA to run the test.
Any kits ordered by 1pm Pacific, Monday through Saturday, are shipped the same day. Kits are shipped via USPS First Class and the average ship time is 3 business days.
You can expect to get your results 2-3 weeks after your sample is received at SneakPeek Labs.
Once you return your sample using the prepaid USPS First Class mailing label, it will take an average of 3 business days for the sample to reach our lab. When your kit is checked in at SneakPeek Labs, you will receive an email notifying you of its safe arrival. The timeline in your Parent Portal will also be updated.
Your reports can only be viewed in your Parent Portal. We will not provide reports via mail or email.
The Parent Portal will always have up-to-date information on where your sample is in the test process. When your reports are ready, they’ll be added to your Parent Portal, and you will receive an email from sneakpeekresults@sneakpeektest.com with the subject line, “Your SneakPeek Traits Reports are Ready!”
